At my work shower I received a few ornaments for BD Baby so he will have some stuff on the tree for his first Christmas. I think that I will add the year to each as well. What a thoughtful gift!

I find a special ornament every year for Coley and plan to give them to her when she moves out so that she has a piece of our Christmas tree with her when she has a home of her own. She looks forward to seeing "her" new ornament every year and has memories related to all of them.
That is such a great idea! We have a "family photo" ornament with the year on it but I think I will use your idea so he can have a special one as well.
