Two on Tuesday!

Two recipes I can't wait to try from the Brown Eyed Baker:
  1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough DIP - As a dough lover, I can't wait to try this! The target audience has to be right so hopefully the opportunity will arise. Or maybe I can just invite my Mom and sister over?!?!
  2. Gazpacho - I love making soup lately! This recipe was adapted from the PW and I think that I would adapt even more by sneaking in some Rotel (I add to everything)...seems like the perfect dish paired with a 109 degree day.

Love Thy Neighbor!

The other day my neighbor brought over five bins of boys clothing! She is expecting her second child (a girl) in September and decided that it was time to clean out the garage and make way for baby.

My sister-in-law and I spent two whole hours sorting through the nicest set of hand-me-downs ever. It's hard to describe how amazing it was, some of the clothes still had tags and others were barely worn. And the shoes, oh my the shoes. After pulling aside 15 pairs, I started making piles for friends. Jack now has more Gap items than his parents combined!

I think that the photos tell the story a bit better:

Happy Father's Day!

To two amazing men in my life, Dad & Travis! You both understand what family and fatherhood are all about. We are lucky to have you.

Two on Tuesday!

I am blogging right now from beautiful San Diego. I have been away for work and although I miss my Jack & Travis terribly, I sucked up the sulking long enough to do some shopping at Horton Plaza. I have fond memories of shopping here with my Mom & sister over the years so that made me feel better about being alone.

My two on Tuesday includes the other things that made me feel better:
  • 40% off at Banana Republic! This is unheard of and I usually don't go in there because I never find a good sale. If at first you fail, try, try and try again. I tried and I was successful!
  • Panera Bread Co. - It sounds ridiculous as I could have fresh seafood or anything else I wanted but I had a bit of a cold and my brother-in-law R always talks about Panera so I had to see what the fuss was about. Soup and salad combo later, I was hooked. Not that I doubted R, he doesn't mess around when it comes to food. Neither do I. I am starting a full campaign to bring Panera to Phoenix, something like P2P 2012. Added bonus, the food is low cal, and nutritional value is posted. Perfect for my bikini diet that I just started...while at Panera.

Two On Tuesday

My two favorite things of the week (besides Travis & Jack) are 4th of July related! I am on the search for ideas to make Jack's first shirt:
