Shoes!!

BD Mom loves shoes...I think that BD Baby will too! I just happen to hit some amazing shoe sales at Dillards & Gymboree this weekend. Some for mom and some for baby.

PUMA - so cute!!
Stride Rite - normally $30, on sale for $10

Gymboree Flops - $3.50!! (BD Baby went for turtles and sharks)

This pair wasn't on sale BUT I purchased a few weeks ago because I had a Macys gift card. Thank you Amy.

Growing up I always had big feet so if I found a pair in my size, I had to buy them!! As MIL said "you can't just leave them in the store!"

The clothing sale, well...that's another story. His wardrobe is growing as fast as my belly thanks to the grandmas!

My favorite photo...

I recently took family photos and found this shot to be one of my favorites. I love how little "L" sits on his knees. Of course kid feet are the cutest!

And here is one with both Mom & Dad reaching out...

Sew Easy!

Don't get me wrong, making the bedskirt was definitely time consuming BUT worth every minute. I had much indecision about the nursery theme, and well everything else lately but I finally decided to go with "A is for Alligator" print. I am very happy with the result and can't wait to see it all together. Next week I am making a few sheets to match and a hanging bookshelf. Check out this photo that I plan to mimic, what a cute concept!

Cupcake Throwdown

Last week was "Cupcake Throwdown" at work. I was in heaven! DJ D made some vanilla with cream cheese to die for (shown below)...I opted for mini "pop-ems" in chocolate with peanut butter frosting. YUM.

For those of you that love peanut butter breath like I do, here is my made up frosting recipe! I should warn you that I do mostly everything to taste so be flexible on the measurements.

PB Frosting
1/2 C. Creamy PB (Choosy mothers choose Jif)
1/2 C. Cream Cheese
1 t. Vanilla
2+ C. Powdered Sugar (add as you see fit)
2 T. Milk
and for the twist:
1 HEAPING T. of chocolate frosting from a can (I just happened to have some in the fridge)

I used a pastry tip to frost and then topped with a Reese's Pieces!

New Baby Announcement Design!

Working on some new photo card templates to sell! Names are of course fictional :) Photos are real...
