Milestones

Travis had a milestone birthday recently. We celebrated by making him a cake, horseback ridding (I promise he wanted it) and some Mexican food. While out to dinner, I signed "I love you" to Jack. He replied, out loud, "I love you" and then he said it again but added Daddy. Melt my heart! The best birthday a guy could ask for...and a momma too!

Thanksgiving

Much to be thankful for this past weekend: Family time, cousin time, the "twins" arrived safely on Thanksgiving Eve, lounging and prepping, shopping and eating!

Great Smile

Jack had his first trip to the dentist this morning. He actually loved it!! The dentist was awesome, couldn't believe Jack's enthusiasm for brushing AND strongly recommended the bink go bye bye. He went cold turkey at school and during the day, it's the nighttime madness I am concerned about. He did say 2 was fine, that leaves 5 more days. :)

The best feeling in the world!

I love sitting down for a meal and closing my eyes to pray, knowing that a moment after I do, my open hand will soon be filled with Jacks. His little fingers curl up in mine and usually they are sticky as he sometimes starts early. My prayers always finish with a smile when I hear him say AMEN...sometime twice and loud.

Hard to imagine that last week at this time, Eliya was enjoying her first swing and first snow cone...well just ice anyway. This weekend we officially hit AZ cold season, bring out the long sleeves!

Turned 8 months today and is standing, climbing over everything and trying to step! I think she may be stronger than Jack...girl power.

Pushing the Potty!

Jack got a potty today! He insisted on pushing it and then carrying it up and down the hall. I was ok with that as it was brand new...but then he used it, TWICE! Proud day!

Fall Festival

Jack's school hosted a Fall Featival today, complete with petting zoo. He normally doesn't attend on Fridays...well worth the trip!

Eliya is such a trooper, she actually laughs when Jack takes her sippy cup away and then rations the water!
